Why teams choose Myrex IRIS

Faster troubleshooting

Give technicians quick access to the information they need to diagnose and resolve issues faster.

Better support in the field

Deliver clearer guidance and more consistent answers across teams, sites, and shifts.

Preserve critical knowledge

Capture institutional know-how so expertise stays available even when experienced people are unavailable.

Give technicians the right context faster

When equipment issues arise, teams do not have time to search across disconnected files, manuals, and tribal knowledge. Myrex IRIS links step-by-step procedures, media and asset-specific content directly to the equipment view so technicians spend less time searching and more time fixing

• Reduce time spent searching for relevant information

• Bring critical context closer to the point of need

• Help teams respond with greater speed and consistency

Support technicians with clearer guidance

Myrex IRIS makes it easier to deliver useful, structured information to the people doing the work. That means fewer guesswork moments, smoother handoffs, and better support for both experienced and less experienced team members.

• Improve consistency across sites, teams, and shifts

• Help less experienced technicians ramp faster

• Make field support more scalable

• Reduce dependence on individual experts

• Preserve lessons learned and historical context

• Improve continuity during turnover or growth

Create a stronger maintenance support system

Myrex IRIS helps unify information access and support workflows so teams can work with better context and more confidence. The result is a more repeatable and resilient approach to maintenance and operational support.

• Strengthen day-to-day decision support

• Improve coordination between teams

• Build a more repeatable support model

FAQs

Answers to questions you might have about Myrex IRIS.

What is Myrex IRIS?

Myrex IRIS is a manufacturing and training platform for manufacturers that uses high-resolution 3D scans of each of your assets to guide operators and technicians much more quickly to the information they need to do their tasks.

Why use Myrex IRIS?

The lack of consistent and accessible documentation for training, maintenance and support takes away as much as 18% of wrench time, resulting in longer downtimes, slower training and less consistent execution

How do I onboard an asset to IRIS? Can we do this ourselves?

To build the IRIS Spatial scan, we do multiple passes over your machinery with a state-of-the-art 3D scanner and standard camera equipment. The process can take anywhere from one to three hours per asset. For companies that prefer to do their own scanning for any reason, Myrex offers Certified IRIS Scanner training and specifies the hardware devices you’ll use.

How do I link the 3D models to my knowledge base and workflow systems?

IRIS provides authoring tools that allow you to tag dozens of stations or other hotspots on each of your assets and then link each of them to videos, graphics, how-to guides, checklists and other assets. You’ll use this same tool to configure roles and responsibilities, notifications, schedules and other workflow items

What does IRIS run on?

The IRIS front end 3D interface is designed for use on iPads to allow operators and technicians to work directly in front of the asset. The front end also runs on desktops. The Myrex back-end software can run either on the Myrex cloud or servers on your IT network, depending on your security policies.

Can Myrex IRIS integrate with my existing tools?

Yes. Whether you want to integrate IRIS with your ticketing system, a learning management system, CMMS, ERP or any other enterprise IT, IRIS is designed to be highly configurable.

Is Myrex Iris easy to use if you’re not technical?

IRIS is designed to be used by any worker on your factory floor -- the 3D interface is natural and intuitive. No computer technical skills are required

How do you charge for Myrex IRIS?

IRIS users pay a one-time asset onboarding fee for each asset ingested, plus a low monthly or annual subscription fee per machine

Does Myrex work with resellers?

Yes. OEM manufacturers of manufacturing assets can cut down on their service costs, earn commissions and improve their customer support by providing pre-configured IRIS models and applications when shipping. Factory integrators working with multi-vendor lines can use IRIS to build a full end-to-end representation of each line, earning commissions, increasing their value to their customers, and gaining back service time.
