PM compliance
Preventive maintenance (PM) compliance is the proportion of scheduled PM work completed within its allowed time window, expressed as a percentage over a period — usually a month. It is the standard measure of whether a maintenance programme is doing the work it said it would do, when it said it would do it.
PM compliance = PMs completed within their window ÷ PMs scheduled in the period × 100. The formula is trivial; almost every dispute about the number is a dispute about what “within its window” means.
The window is a risk decision, not an administrative one — common conventions include a percentage of the interval (commonly ±10%), a fixed calendar window, or a window defined per asset in the maintenance procedure, which is what an auditor expects in a regulated environment.
A PM compliance figure near 100% is usually a bad sign, not a good one — it is far more often a statement about a schedule tuned to be easy to hit than a statement about the work. Run it alongside a found-work rate: the two are hard to fake in the same direction.
How MYREX supports preventive maintenance scheduling: the PM calendar carries recurring events, and an event can be linked to a location on the machine. The manager dashboard shows open, overdue, due-today and unassigned counts, with due dates. MYREX does not compute a PM-compliance percentage, a window configuration, or an on-time/late classification — what ships is the calendar, work orders, and counts with due dates.
