Spatial CMMS for Food and Beverage Manufacturing

MYREX is a Spatial CMMS for food and beverage manufacturing, built around a high-definition 3D capture of each machine. Sanitation access points, changeover adjustments, maintenance history and the media that explains them are pinned to the exact spots on the equipment, so the person running the procedure tonight does not have to have run it before.

What makes maintenance different in a food or beverage plant?

The clock. Production runs at speed, the sanitation window is fixed, and maintenance happens inside or immediately around it. That compresses three kinds of work into the same few hours: the changeover, the clean, and whatever the line needs fixing before it starts again. It also means the work is repetitive and physical, done under a deadline, and frequently done by someone who is new. Seasonal demand and crew turnover are ordinary facts of this industry, not exceptions — so a procedure that assumes familiarity with the machine is a procedure that will be run by someone who does not have it. How does MYREX help when the person running the procedure is new? They open the machine, find the place, and follow a step-by-step guided mode with the 3D capture of the machine alongside the steps. The reference material sits on marks (pinned locations on the machine) rather than in a folder of PDFs somebody has to search at 2am.

Sanitation and washdown

Clean-down is where the equipment knowledge is most location-specific and least well documented. Which sections come apart in what order, which surfaces need direct contact, which access point is easy to miss, which gasket is routinely found damaged on reassembly — every one of those is a place on the machine. Washdown equipment also ages in a particular way: seals, bearings, drain points and wash-exposed fasteners fail on a pattern, and that pattern becomes visible when the history is attached to the place.

Disassembly order

Step-by-step guided procedure for the machine, with photos and video attached to the relevant spots

The point that gets missed

A mark with a photo and a note, on the exact spot

Damage found during the clean

An abnormality tag raised on the 3D scene, carrying the exact location into the work queue

Post-clean inspection

Recorded against the asset, with an attestation on completion

What happened here before

Open the location and see every photo, note and job ever recorded at that spot

Allergen and product changeovers

An allergen changeover is a documented cleaning exercise with a release at the end of it, and the plant lives with its consequences if it is done wrong. The maintenance-side contribution is unglamorous and specific: the places where product collects, the parts that come out for the clean, the seals that get checked, and the evidence that all of it was done. MYREX holds that as location-anchored content and a record of the work — photos and notes at the spots that matter, an attestation by an identified user on completion, and an audit log secured by a SHA-256 hash chain, so alteration is detectable rather than prevented. That is what “tamper-evident” means here. For plants working under HACCP and a GFSI-benchmarked scheme, equipment maintenance and its records are one input to the program rather than the whole of it. MYREX is designed to keep the maintenance record it holds attributable to an identified user and tamper-evident.

Search is plain keyword matching across six result types today — not full-text, fuzzy, semantic or instant. The audit chain covers maintenance records — procedures, work records and attestations, and changes to them; administrative changes to accounts and roles are recorded but sit outside the chain.

Frequently asked

Is MYREX the right maintenance system for a food plant?

Yes, in the terms a buyer is comparing: work orders, preventive maintenance scheduling, asset history and completion records. The entry point is what differs — a navigable high-definition 3D capture of each machine, so the work is found by finding the place on the equipment.

Can MYREX run our sanitation procedures?

It runs step-by-step procedures in guided mode against the machine, with photos, video and notes pinned to locations on the capture. Completion is recorded with an attestation. Whether that replaces or sits alongside your existing sanitation documentation is a decision for your quality team, and worth working through together.

How does it help with crew turnover?

A new technician or sanitor is shown the place, not told about it. The procedure runs alongside the capture of the machine, so knowledge that would otherwise have to be transferred person to person is already attached to the equipment.

Our crews work in Spanish.

Spanish (LatAm) is in development, not shipped. Ask us for current timing before you plan around it.

Does it work on the floor?

It runs in the browser on the tablets crews already carry.

Can we start with one line?

Yes, and that is the usual shape — capture one line, run the sanitation and PM work there, and extend once it is being used without being asked for.

See it on your own line.

Bring a machine you already know is a mess to explain, and we will show you what it looks like inside MYREX.
